Timeline
Planet Phoenix
From PBs to podiums, Planet Phoenix captures what makes our club special — celebrating achievements, sharing meet highlights, and keeping everyone across the lanes informed about what’s next.
August 2026
Phoenix finished first overall at Swim Fest for the sixth year in a row, with age-group wins for Kathryn Bates, Helton Hou, Lucas Wang, James Zhang and Michael Yang.
Depth across every age group, and a team that turns up for each other.
August 2026
Hazel (Vanessa) Ouwehand won bronze in the 50m butterfly in 25.76, her first Commonwealth Games medal, then backed up at the Pan Pacific Championships in California.
From an altitude camp in Granada to a Commonwealth Games podium.
August 2026
Hope Wang, Jade Lyles, Jasmine Lyles and Holly Neville represented New Zealand in Fiji. Jade won the 200m backstroke title, Hope claimed three individual silvers, and all four swam in medal-winning relays.
Four Phoenix swimmers in the black cap, one very proud club.
Edition #7 — Swim Fest glory, Hazel’s Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacs campaign, Oceania Championships medals, our new club record holders, the big interview with Hope Wang, and a chat with Junior Phoenix lead coach Bridget Maher.
Have something to share for a future edition (a result, a photo, a shout-out, or a story)? Get in touch with the club.
