Invest in our Home – Empower our Swimmers!

In a sport where pool space is at a premium, Phoenix Aquatics is incredibly fortunate to call the Northcote College Aquatic Centre our home. Through a long-standing and valued partnership with Northcote College and NZL Swim, we’ve been granted exclusive access to this facility, a privilege we never take for granted.

Our club, together with the school and support from generous members, has worked hard to maintain and enhance the pool environment. Over the years, we’ve replaced starting blocks, improved spectator seating, redecorated the changing rooms, and built a permanent, covered outdoor dry-land training space. Most recently, the school undertook a full resurfacing and repainting of the pool and continues to work closely with our coaches to maintain high-quality filtration and heating systems.

These upgrades reflect the pride our members have in their ‘modest’ pool – not just as a training facility, but as a shared community asset. 

As a non-profit sports club, we rely on sponsorships and donations to continue improving our facilities. Our next goal is to replace the semi-permanent pool cover with a sprung structure to create a more comfortable, all-season training environment, alongside further upgrades to the changing rooms.
